This blog will promote the teaching and learning of science via distance education. I have taught a variety of science courses through face-to-face, interactive video, hybrid, and 100% online formats. The major controversy in teaching science courses at a distance is selecting the best way to offer the laboratory components. I am a firm believer that lab experimentation has to be hands-on, with simulations playing a minor role.
